The Team
Lynn Davies
Head Of Care Services
I have 20 years’ experience in health and social care, I have dedicated my career to supporting adults and children across Autism, learning disabilities, mental health, dementia care, and domiciliary services. Since starting in 2006, I have progressed through support, leadership, and Registered Manager roles throughout Cornwall, developing strong expertise in service improvement, compliance, and compassionate, people‑centred leadership.
I’ve managed diverse care environments—from residential homes to large community‑based services—and have led new service registrations and operational development projects. I am passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care and fostering a positive, empowered culture where teams feel supported and valued.
I was delighted to join Calton House in late August 2025, and in my role as Head of Care Services I remain committed to upholding its vision and values. My focus is on continuous improvement, strengthening care standards, and ensuring every Client receives safe, dignified, and meaningful support.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me out enjoying the Cornish countryside, walking my two energetic pointer dogs.
Steve Benney
Care Manager
Hi, I’m Steve, and I’m proud to step into the role of Care Manager after previously working as a Team Leader. I’m passionate about delivering person‑centred care and making sure every individual receives support that truly reflects their needs, choices, and goals.
Supporting the team is just as important to me. I believe in being approachable, encouraging, and working alongside staff to create a positive environment where everyone feels valued and confident in what they do.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing darts and I’m a devoted Arsenal supporter—always happy to chat about football!
Kat Paddington
Senior Care Manager
Hi, I’m Kat. I’ve been part of Calton House since January 2024, starting as a Team Leader and now proudly serving as the Senior Care Manager. I bring over 10 years’ experience in learning disabilities and complex care, and previously managed my own in‑house clinical care service.
I hold a degree in Combined Social Science, a Level 3 Diploma in Public Services, a Level 5 Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, and I’m currently completing my NVQ Level 4 in Adult Care.
One of the highlights of my role has been supporting our service users directly and helping turn their goals into reality. Now as part of the management team, I’m passionate about recognising staff achievements and carefully assessing potential new service users to ensure we offer the best possible support.
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll usually find me walking on the beach with my dog—probably listening to Elvis!
Mia Bridgen
Finance Administrator
I've been part of the company for many years, starting out as Office Administrator to later working as a Care Manager all through COVID before moving into Finance.
Today, I generate invoices, log all incoming payments and help keep the company running smoothly behind the scenes. Having grown with the business over the years I truly value being part of a close knit team and take pride in supporting the work we do every day for our wonderful clients."
Kate Crocker
Care Manager
I have worked for Calton House since February 2018, starting as a Support Worker before progressing to Team Leader and now Care Manager. I really enjoy working with the people we support and helping them to achieve their goals and wishes. Seeing them experience new things in life, with the encouragement and support of our amazing team, is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, getting out for walks with my dog, and heading off for weekends away in my campervan.
Abbi Smith
Finance Administrator / corporate Appointee
I have been with the company for 10 years, beginning my journey as the youngest support worker at the time. As the organisation has grown, I’ve been fortunate to grow with it—transitioning into finance and now overseeing payroll, corporate appointeeship, and all financial operations. I’m incredibly proud of the path I’ve taken here, and it’s been a real privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and be part of a company that truly makes a meaningful difference.
Hannah Smith
Training Co-ordinator / administrator
My name is Hannah Smith and I am the Training Co-ordinator/Administrator for Calton House. After leaving teaching in 2021, I joined Calton House first as a Support Worker and then moved into office administration. In my new role as Training Co-Ordinator, I hope that my previous skill and passion for education, will move forward into the sphere of training. I would like to bring new care industry trends and knowledge into support work by designing workshops and face to face training. My sense of humour, compassion and encouragement will hopefully enable my colleagues to see what the direct impact of skill improvement can bring into their job roles.
When I'm not at work or pandering to the whims of a very demanding cat, I love listening to Rock music, watching Sci-Fi & Horror films and travelling around in our self built camper van.
Kelly Chambers
Team Leader
Hello, I'm Kelly. I joined Calton House in February 2026 as a Team Leader. I bring over 20 years of experience working across various health and social care settings.
I studied Health and Social Care at college and went on to study Nursing at university. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in hospitals, residential and nursing homes, as well as within the community.
I’m really enjoying my role at Calton House—meeting new people, learning new skills, and becoming part of the team.
I’m a caring, bubbly and outgoing person, and I hope to bring plenty of fun and laughter into the lives of the people we support. I’m passionate about helping others in every aspect of life, and I will always go above and beyond.
Yvonne Dowrick
Administrator
I joined Calton House in 2024 bringing with me a wealth of Administration experience, I started my working life in a building company as a junior clerk/typist and have worked in the Print Industry and in a Solicitors office but working in the Care Industry is the most rewarding.
I enjoy working with my colleagues and meeting and greeting clients and visitors to Calton house.
When I’m not working I enjoy a good book and word and logic puzzles to keep my brain trained and my treadmill in the winter months is my Personal Trainer.
Olly Kemp
Team leader
Hi, I’m Olly. I joined Calton in June 2024 as a support worker, and in January 2025 I was really proud to step into a Team leader role. Before working in care, I spent time in mechanics and retail, but my first real experience of supporting people came from my own family. Both my uncle and cousin have faced mental health challenges, and being there for them taught me a lot about patience, understanding, and the importance of simply listening.
Since joining Calton, I’ve realised how much I enjoy learning about life through the people I support — and how much the role has helped me grow personally too. Every day teaches me something new, and I feel like the work I do here benefits my own life as much as it does others.
I’m really embracing my career in care, and I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, develop, and support the people around me.
Liam Dyer
Team Leader
Hi, My name is Liam and I pleased to say that I am a Team Leader here at Calton House. I have over a decade of experience in the care sector and have also previously worked with young people in both a specialist TIS school and mainstream education. Supporting others has always been a passion of mine, and I am overjoyed that I am able to continue that here at Calton.
When I'm not at work, you'll probably find me trying to find a new place to explore with the children.
I hope that I can bring a lot of experience, a lot of calmness and a lot of terrible dad jokes in my role at calton house.
Lee Steadman
Team leader
Hi my name’s Lee, and I’m one of the Team Leaders here at Calton House. I’ve been in this role for over two years, and during that time I’ve taken responsibility for overseeing two of our H.M.O. properties within the company.
I’m passionate about creating a supportive, safe, and positive environment for the people we work with, and I’m committed to leading by example. I’m currently studying for my NVQ Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification, which is helping me build my skills and continue growing within the adult care sector.
I’m proud to be part of the Calton House team and to contribute to the high standards of care we deliver every day.
Rhys Barnes
Team leader
I joined Calton House in January 2025 as a Support Worker, and from the start I found that building meaningful connections with the individuals we support came naturally to me. Through hard work, compassion, and a strong commitment to person‑centred care, I was proud to earn a promotion in August 2025.
My background in criminology helps me bring a thoughtful and informed perspective to my role. Growing up with a brother who has epilepsy and PTSD has also shaped who I am—it’s given me a deep understanding of complex needs, and taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and genuine support.
I’m passionate about empowering people to live their best lives. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone grow in confidence, develop new skills, and achieve things they once thought were out of reach.
Outside of work, I’m a dedicated dad and love spending quality time with my daughter. I also enjoy keeping active by playing darts and rugby.
Caroline Doyle
Team Leader
